What is Enlight?
Enlight is a two-week virtual bootcamp and competition held in December, open to high school students across Canada. The program combines daily bootcamp sessions with insights from successful startup founders, giving participants the chance to develop and apply their skills in an entrepreneurship focused case competition that fosters creativity, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.

Bootcamps

Five days of speaker-led workshops featuring successful startup founders and daily lessons on case compeittion fundamentals with live Q&A sessions.
Competition
Dec 26 - 29
Teams receive the case on Day 1 and must
submit their Round 1 slide deck and
three-minute video pitch by Day 4.
Demo Day
Dec 30
The top 5 finalist teams will deliver a live presentation to a panel of judges, consisting of a 7-minute pitch followed by a 3-minute Q&A.

Aaron Chen
Aaron Chen is a 19-year-old sophomore currently on leave from UC Berkeley. Over the summer, he worked at an A16Z-backed crypto startup, gaining hands-on experience in blockchain and decentralized finance. He is now running his own YC-backed startup focused on building DeFi solutions and cash advance tools to support people living paycheck to paycheck.

Mason Arditi
Mason Arditi is a college bootstrap founder and elite software builder currently studying at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is a sophomore at the Haas School of Business. While at Berkeley, he taught himself how to code and rapidly began designing, building, and shipping production-grade software. He founded MoffittStatus, a real-time library capacity tracking platform that scaled campus-wide and was ultimately adopted and acquired by UC Berkeley to improve student access to study spaces. He later built BuildInCollege, a startup platform helping college founders access critical tools and resources, which has grown to 50,000+ users.

Risa Shimmura
Risa Shimmura is a Venture Scout at Susa Ventures, a $1B+ AUM firm with a 10% unicorn hit rate, where she sourced Foresight Health, and a former founding scouts team member at Soma Capital. She is an incoming Investment Banking Analyst at Citi and a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar at UC Berkeley Haas. Previously at Binance and Kaliber Labs.

Shubhan Dua
Shubhan Dua‘s the Co founder/CEO of AnswersAi, an AI education company with 2M users, 1M social media followers and more than 10M questions asked. He's also a UC Berkeley alum with past experiences in VC

Alexis Yip
Alexis Yip is a mathematics major at UC Berkeley with a strong passion for innovation in finance. Originally from Hong Kong, she is an incoming analyst at JPMorgan and is eager to explore the intersection of blockchain, DeFi, and traditional finance, with a particular interest in stablecoins and prediction markets.
